ANTALYA...
Antalya
is no holiday resort like Bodrum or Marmaris, it is a world class
métropole of superlatives.
Atracting 10 million tourists every year, more then Greece and the
Greek Islands all together and with unbraked growth rates arround 20%
even in this hard recession times.
The province of Antalya is 20 815 square KM whitch is a one and half
times or 6000 km² bigger than Northern Ireland or 5 times as big as
Dubai.
Investments in Antalya are unbraked as well like for example the new
Mardan Palace Hotel, a 1 billion $ project of mind blowing exorbitance
in luxury in the race to build the the best hotel in the world, in deed
the top 100 hotels in the world are dominated by adresses in the
Antalya region, but the property market is booming just as well,
regardless if it is the commercial property sector with huge shopping
malls top hotels or the residential property sector.
8% of Turkey's rental revenues are generated in the Antalya region, but
there are no fears that this will be the next Spain or a over
constructed Alicante.
Strict building regulations in Turkey and lots of National Parks or SIT
alani called regions of ancient ruins where even hammering a nail is
heavily fined, will preserve the breathtaking beauty of this
Mediterranean Region for future generations.
Where to live..
Best
residential areas in Antalya town is Lara, with its posh boulevard
offering best restaurants bars beatyfull sandy beaches, and full urban
live in a Mediterranean ambiance.
Lara is situated on the east side of Antalya, close to the Antalya
airport.
Similar to Lara is Konyaalti on the west side, also with its posh
boulevards and a tremendous beach with best recreational facilities,
the Antalya municipality, one of Turkey's richest municipalities has
spend a fortune and made a man made paradise here,
Other prefered residential regions in Antalya are in the resorts Kemer,
Manavgat - Side, Alanya regions. Residential areas for golf enthusiasts
are also in the Belek region but this region offers very little for
residentials except golf. The town centre is very small and not realy
pleasing.
We advise even Golf enthusiasts to buy property in Antalya City, or the
Manavgat - Side region.
How to get there..
The
Antalya International Airport is after Istanbul the biggest in Turkey
and can be reached from all International Airports 12 month long.
Antalya is 190 Km to Fethiye in the Mugla province and can be reached
in 2 and half hours by car. Bodrum is 380 Km and is a 5 hours drive
from Antalya.
The distance Antalya Mersin is 510 Km, a new motorway will reduce the
drive down to 4 hours when completed From Mersin there are Ferry boats
to Northern Cyprus.
A Ferry boat from Antalya to Cyprus is planned.
